There's So Much I Want to Say

There is so much I want to say
but I only have time to post this picture for right now.
It makes me laugh.

Elijah

Sometimes I use mascara to draw a beard on my 8 yr old just because he asked.
Then I take pictures of him dressed in his favorite suit while he holds his arms like this.
But only sometimes.

My Mod Squad

Ruby, Ivy, Elizabeth and Abram
got all ready to fight bad guys
and get away fast on horseback (or would that be horse stick?).

Ivy wanted to be sure that I got her hat in the picture,
so she tilted her head down
(I just. don't. even.....).

Abram is at that wonderful toddler smile stage where this is the face he makes
when I ask him to smile for a picture.

Disclaimer:
real kids
real cheesy smiles
real mess in the background
not real firearms

Baby, It Was Cold Outside

We had some pretty cold temps and strong wind
at the end of February here in MN.
The cold is very draining for my guys working outside
and Andrew often takes a nap in the afternoons.

The day this picture was taken the wind had been quite vicious
and had whipped his cheeks to a shade of pink.
Snuggling with a baby was a good remedy.
His arm around her,
her thumb in her mouth,
ohmygoodness it warmed this mama's heart.

Ruby's Best Day of Her Life

After we got home from church today,
I started some pancakes for dinner.
Christopher did the majority of them, then got called away.
Linnea stepped in for a round, but then she, too, needed to leave the kitchen.
Ruby jumped up and down, saying, "Can I?  Can I????"
I told her she could, and she did so well!

She declared that THIS was the best day of her LIFE.

and then got really goofy.

The Number Eleven

I filled out a customer satisfaction survey that came in the mail a few weeks ago.
It said I could win something, I don't remember now what it was, but I figured it was worth a shot.

I got a call from the company last week.
The lady said her job was to verify some of the answers if there was a question.
She said, "Ma'am, one of the questions was
'Including your youngest child, tell us the number of children you have' and you wrote the number eleven...did you...really mean...to, ah....write eleven?"
*small chuckle from lady on phone*

I told her, "Yes, I wrote that number because I have eleven children."

She said, "Okay then...I'll send this on through. Good luck in the drawing!"
